There are very few people that would question the fact that the Great Wall Of China is one of the most incredible structures ever built by man and one of the most amazing structures in the world. One of the most popular sections of the Great Wall visited by tourists is the Simatai Great Wall. This part of the wall extends for 19 kilometers and is a component of the Ming wall that is one of the best preserved segments of the Great Wall. It consists of two parts, the east and west, with some notable differences between the two. The western part is of mild terrain and possesses twenty watch towers. By contrast, the terrain of the eastern section is extremely steep. This part of the wall contains bricks that are stamped with the code of the army responsible for its construction, and the date of construction.

The Simatai Great Wall consists of more than just the wall itself. From this point, one can also see and experience notable attractions such as the Fairy Tower, the Heavenly Ladder, the Sky Bridge, and the Watching Beijing Tower, a location from which the entire city of Beijing can be seen.

From this point a cable car can be taken, and an iron rope bridge can be travelled to get some magnificent views of the valley below. You can even find facilities to rent a boat on the Yuanyang Lake. This wall that has so much incredible offerings to tourists, also has a cultural festival, a gliding festival and, an area for climbing.

There is such a huge variety of things that make the Simatai an incredible place to visit and a top choice among tourists. However, there are several other parts of the wall that are worthy of a visit also. Whether your Great Wall of China tour consists of a tour of ruined sections or more intact parts, steep or flat, the experience you are in for will be second to none and will be etched in your mind for the rest of your life.
